The Thing (1982)

When a mysterious dog stumbles upon an American military base camp, a group of scientists will soon find out that this canine is no ordinary dog, it will soon become the thing they will all fear the most. 

John Carpenter's 1982 classic, The Thing, is a sci-fi horror thriller whodunnit that was ahead of its time upon its initial release; being maligned as a gorefest without substance, it has now become a Mount Rushmore horror film masterpiece that continues to age like fine wine.
